What does sight mean to you?

World Sight Day October, 9th 2014

Sponsored by TOMS

Facts:

19 million children are blind or visually impaired

285 million people are blind or visually impaired, 80% don’t have to be

90% of the world’s visually impaired people live in developing countries

80% of what a  child learns in the first 12 years of life is through vision

What does sight mean to you?

To me sight is seeing the beauty in everything, because life is too short to dwell on the negatives.

“The best view comes after the hardest climb.”

This October 9th, put on your shades or glasses in awareness of those who struggle with sight.

Tweet your pictures and share what you’re thankful to be able to see.
